Pride Parade 2019
Friday | 14.6 | Shderot Ben Zion
In a public survey with thousands of answers, the Israeli LGBTQ community decided that this year's pride theme will be a strike for our demanded rights.
This year, marking the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, with dozens of events leading the Israeli LGBTQ community to finally speak out loud and strive for our rights, we decided to launch the biggest pride parade Israel has ever seen on June 14th!
This year, along with the great celebration, we will strike and march for our human rights, for equality and for education.
A battle is not just marching and striking all over the city, but also a chance to unite as a community and overcome our differences in a united goal, to call out loud for an "LGBTQ Battle for Rights", to show people we are also humans and deserve to feel safe and secured in our own country to be who we are and who we were meant to be, and we won't stop until "Gay" stops being a common swear word among children and teens, until trans women would stop being afraid of walking down the streets in fear of getting assaulted, and until we can all finally love who we want without our love being illegal.
There has never been a better time for this, especially after the recent Eurovision has showed the world a happy, accepting and open Tel Aviv, we have to adapt and work to make that fantasy a reality and "Dare to Dream"!
So be proud and come march, party and strike with us on June 14th!
